“We find the purebreds ewes we bought from you to be so much more productive than our commercial rideaus that we would like to convert the entire flock to purebred (and sell our 80 commercial rideaus gradually or not keep replacements from them). This means we expect to keep our purebred ewe lambs for the next 2 or 3 years. Our main objective is meat production. We like the multiple lambs being born from Rideaus but also value a strong average daily gain in the first 2-3 months. Thats what pays the bills. When we had cows we like to use 3 or 4 different bloodlines, with each bloodline having different traits and features. Yes, we would like to set ourselves up with unrelated genetics from what we have and we are trying to think about the next generations. Let me know if this helps give you a better idea of our objectives and what rams you have available to help us achieve these objectives.”
