History

Performance in the show ring was at one time a focus of our breeding program and heavily influenced our ability to market our breeding animals.  With the advent of the internet, increased flock biosecurity efforts and more of a focus on our sheep flock’s productivity and meat production, we no longer participate in the show circuit.  Our children have exhibited market lambs for 4-H (and do quite well at it I might add) and we loan some breeding ewes to other 4-H members for showing at our local fall fair.  This enables us to maximize our efforts in the barn, better protect our flock health against possible risk, spend efforts at marketing our meat animals into stores and other venues so that we can collect meaningful data and utilize customer feedback in making ongoing improvements to our breeding and feeding programs.  Additionally, each year we market approximately 40 breeding rams and groups of breeding ewes to Canadian sheep producers from coast to coast. We believe our many repeat buyers are a testament in the faith our customers have placed in our breeding program.

A look back at some photos from yesteryear….
